We’ve had a busy 2022 so far, working to uphold part of our mission through grants. So far in 2022, the NCHC has awarded over $107,000 in grants! See the breakdown below:
Nonprofit Equine Assisted Activities and Therapy (EAAT): $20,433
These grants have included a trail course, saddles and other equipment
Sponsorships: $5,500
These grants were given to sponsor the VetPac and SCAAEP Equine Health Symposium, the Annual Professional Improvement Conference for county extension agents and a membership to the Friends of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail.
Scholarship for Undergraduate: $1,000
Gelding Vouchers: $400
Distressed Horseman’s Fund: $11,550
Equine Safety Net: $450
Development Grants: $8,000
Wash Pits at the Southeastern Ag Center
Health & Research Grants: $18,136
Trail Grants: $42,000
Work at Anita Alta Camp Area and forest service connectors
Mason Point Trail Addition at Jordan Lake
