
Congratulations to the 2020 North Carolina Horse Council Grant Recipients

The mission of the North Carolina Horse Council is, “To serve as the voice of the North Carolina Equine Community through education, communication, and representation.” One of the ways the NCHC serves and gives back to the equine community is through the NCHC Horse Industry Grant Program. The NCHC provides grants to programs, organizations and individuals in 12 categories that enhance the mission and support the organizational goals of the horse council.
Congratulations to all 2020 grant recipients– we appreciate the work you’re doing to advance our state’s thriving equine community. Program and organizational recipients included:
- Victory Farms (Equine Assisted Activities Therapy Grants)

- Riverwood Therapeutic Riding Center (Equine Assisted Activities Therapy Grants)

- NCACAA (Industry Program Sponsor)
- NC Farm Bureau Foundation, Inc. (Industry Program Sponsor)

- Equine Disease Communication Center (Industry Program Sponsor)
- NC Mobile Veterinary Services, PLLC (Euthanasia Support)
- Carbarrus County Saddle Club (Development Grants)

- Blue Ridge Horseman’s Association (Trail Grants)

- New Hope Stables (Distressed Horseman’s Fund)
The NCHC also provided four gelding vouchers in 2020 as part of the Gelding Voucher Grant program, as well as 42 “safety nets” as part of the Equine Safety Net Grant Program for those horse owners that have temporary financial setbacks.
