Strategic Highlights

•Weathering a National Pandemic

Carolina under COVID-19 Rules

• New grant category established, and Grant

awards increased across all categories

• Trail Issues and access to public land

Financial Highlights

• Safety Net Grants streamlined to address COVID-19

• New Distressed Horsemen’s Fund established for financial

assistance to both the horse and the horse owner

• Revenue down during the pandemic but the NCHC

remains stable

Legislative Highlights

The NCHC Lobbyist carried a heavy load throughout 2020

to keep our Equine Industry open. They continue to refine

our legislative agenda and will be working towards

improving equine access to public land.

Looking Ahead

We remain committed to improving equine business and

working towards becoming the most legislatively friendly

state in the nation. “Come Join the Herd”.
